My name is Ivan Maria Friedman. I am a photographer, cinematographer, filmmaker, writer and classical musician.
Since a young age, art has been an endless source of curiosity, satisfaction, and a fuel for my imagination, helping me reinterpret the world in a thousand different ways.
II began playing music in childhood and went on to pursue formal studies in classical music. Later, I discovered that I could also take photographs and shoot and edit films, and I really enjoyed it. I felt enthusiastic about the possibility of combining these different disciplines and applying to each the formal principles I observed in the others.
In these forms of expression and in their interrelatedness, I see a field of possibilities to celebrate life from a wide variety of perspectives, to develop my own vision and, along with it, my own voice — with which to share what I find beautiful and meaningful in life, while continuing to ask myself the most fascinating questions of all:
What is this profound mystery we call Life? What is this experience of being here and now? Where did it come from? What is this magnificent cosmic play all about?
